5 Things I've Learned During Quarantine

Quarantine was/is very eye-opening for me and my business. It allowed me to really take a step back and take a look at what I was doing for my prospects and my business. I have been pivoting for a long time, and I am ready to introduce some offers that I believe will really benefit businesses. Some of you may or may not know that I have gotten some major flu-like (COVID-like) symptoms three weeks ago. It was the worst I have ever felt in my life. I could barely move, had a fever of 101.4, lots of fatigue, and a complete loss of taste and smell. It was horrible. I am feeling so much better and I have a lot of clarity now.

1. Take a Break!

There were definitely some days where I felt like I was burning the candle on both ends. I was feeling so tired and not feeling the best. This quarantine and plus getting sick was kind of the universe's way of telling me to slow down. When I slowed down and did some meditation. I really felt like this quarantine was not just a reset in my life, but a reset in the world's life. It's a culture and society reset. We are finally waking up to what we really need in our lives and it's not always these material things.

2. It's Not Always What You Read!

This is more towards my health but it also could go with other things as well. I did get sick and I lost some weight, but I continued to lose weight by NOT DOING ANYTHING. I am still continuing to lose inches and it's all because I've been taking it easy. It's almost like everything I have ever read about health and losing weight was almost BS. Yes, I understand, my body was healing and that's why I must've been losing weight. However, I am continuing to either maintain or lose because I feel like whatever my body was doing before got the reset button in a way as well.

I don't know about you, but I've always been told it's all about what you eat and exercise. I exercised daily and ate very healthy (hello green smoothies!), those of you who know me personally will know this. I never lost weight doing this, in fact, I gained weight. I didn't eat the best at this time, yet I lost weight and my leggings don't really fit me anymore. I have picked up walking and doing yoga, regularly but that's it. I used to do a lot of HIIT and hardcore exercises. Those never worked for me, and I had no idea why. It seems like doing the opposite would work for me. Some would say stress comes into play, which I could buy. I am feeling a lot more relaxed lately and cutting myself more slack than ever.

3. You Can't Control Everything!

I have learned over the past three to four weeks that I cannot control everything. I wanted to control everything and made sure to do everything I possibly could to either: A) get better or B) get a client. That was what was on my mind before quarantine and it continued until I got really sick, again it was like the universe was telling me to stop doing that. I had to come to terms with the fact that the world has changed and I can't always control everything that is going to happen with the other person, company or city.

Learning how to deal with the unfortunate circumstances the world is going through right now is one of the biggest lessons not only I had to learn, but A LOT of CEOs had to learn or forced to learn as well. The world is not going to be the same after all is said and done. It's not going to be business as usual and people are going to have to make decisions. Whether it's going to be a change in the structure, business plan, or format of the business, it's all going to change. The government might be going through similar changes as well, whether the President wants to admit it or not

4. Relax and Meditate!

I have started relaxing a lot more and I have started meditating a lot more. I really do think in order to change the outer body, it all starts with the inner body. I am trying to do a lot more positive self-talk. I literally have a canvas in my room that says "She believed she could, so she did". I am telling the universe right now that I already have an amazing business with soulmate clients. I am eating the best foods for me and not negatively talking about myself when I want a treat. I am loving myself and my family the best that I can, and I will be doing the best I can. I cannot control what I cannot control. I did list out what I can control and what I cannot control. It's fascinating to me to see what I cannot control, which is what I was stressing out about.

5. The Best Type of Creativity is Quarantine Creativity!

What are you creating right now? I am currently creating new offers for my business and pivoting for my prospects. Are you doing that? Creating is probably one of the best things you can do right now. Whether it's creating new content, creating a new product line, creating new offers or creating just to create, this time right now is the best time to create. As a Social Media Strategist and a Gemini, it's practically my job to create new things and it's also my job to project how these things are going to work out. Also personally, I would like to write a book and I would like to grow on a more spiritual level. Evolve my spiritual gifts into something I could really help people with.

I am fine-tuning some more offers that include my spiritual gifts along with social media/ digital marketing strategy right now and it's super exciting! I hope you are doing the same with your business. If you aren't pivoting, you should be because it's not going to be business as usual after this.
